Hi, I’m Anna.
I’m 16 years old, a junior in high school, and the founder of Serene.
I created Serene because I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed by everything life throws at you as a teenager. Between school, sports, friendships, expectations, social pressure, and constantly trying to keep up, it can feel like there is never enough time to slow down, breathe, or really check in with yourself.
Mental health and wellbeing are something I think about every day, not just because I care about it, but because I have seen firsthand how deeply it affects everything else in your life. The way you think, the way you cope, the way you show up for yourself and the people around you all starts from within.
That belief is what inspired me to create this space.
Why I Started Serene
Serene was built from a simple idea:
Taking care of yourself is one of the most important investments you can make.
Not just when life gets hard. Not just when you are burnt out. But every day.
I wanted to create something that felt real, supportive, and made for people my age. Not something overly complicated or unrealistic, but something simple and honest. A place where self-care is not about perfection, but about learning how to come back to yourself in small, meaningful ways.
For me, that started with three habits that changed the way I handle stress:
- Breathing
- Meditation
- Journaling
They are simple, but they have helped me feel more grounded, more clear, and more connected to myself when life feels overwhelming.
Serene is rooted in those same values.
What Serene Is About
Serene is a space for mental wellness, self-care, reflection, and real conversations about what it feels like to be a teenager today.
Through writing, tools, and thoughtful content, my goal is to make mental wellbeing feel more approachable, less intimidating, and easier to fit into everyday life.
This is not about having it all figured out.
It is about learning how to pause.
How to process.
How to breathe.
How to reset.
And how to take care of yourself in a way that feels honest and sustainable.

I hope Serene feels like a place you can come to when life feels loud.
